Following the details of the bill on employment rights published last year, there is now a confirmation of the plans aimed at extending the deadlines for those who claim the court.
Previously, for the majority of court complaints, a complaint must be made within three months of the event.
However, the government confirmed that it intended to extend this period to six months for all complaints, including discrimination and dismissal dismissal complaints.
This change should increase costs and the administrative burden for employers.
It is not yet known exactly when this increase will take place, however, employers will have to examine data retention policies to identify whether these extension needs in accordance with the increased period.
