Transport monitoring solutions (TMS) have improved its range of DVS systems with the launch of an industry -oriented hybrid option which brings together the advantages of radar and AI camera detection technologies. The advanced progressive security system has been developed for commercial vehicle operators who have the most commitment to road safety and the well-being of their drivers.
“We have created the most complete and complete range of DVS solutions to meet the various operational needs of fleets of commercial vehicles operating in London,” explains Mark Sansby, director of Transport Monitoring Solutions Ltd. “This last hybrid solution has been developed with the driver in mind, offering optimal visibility in the least intrusive way, while overcoming gaps in radar or autonomous IA camera systems.”
The inclusion of the AI โโcamera is designed to mitigate the risk of immobile pedestrians which are not detected by an autonomous radar solution. Installed on the amount A and Face downwards, the device will ensure that stationary or low speed pedestrians in the front angle before can be fully monitored. It also provides an additional context to any alert, the driver is quickly able to view the proximity of the vehicle and the type of risk.
However, the performance of the cameras can be affected by severe weather, such as rain, fog and snow, while the objectives can be blocked by the accumulation of dirt or dust. This is particularly relevant for DVS systems that use a month -old camera (off information system) mounted outside, so that radar technology offers an effective alternative which is much less impacted by these more extreme conditions.
โWith unrivaled precision levels, plug and reading connectivity and modular configurability, our hybrid solution has a unique safety functionality. We listened to both the driver and the vehicle operator, incorporating intelligent features that help overcome authentic driving problems. For example, external audible alarms are automatically disabled Rising Revs or any movement for higher precision and performance levels, โadds Sansby.
